Kioash had finally found a cave. Sure, it was cold and damp, but it was safe. He was sure that, way up here in the mountains, nothing could hurt him. He lay his head down on the ground, and let himself drift off.

Spiderstar caught the scent on a gentle breeze of the knew one and quickened her pace a bit forgetting that Aeris was not as big nor as quick as she. Her octives scanned the terra until she could spot the tiny opening to a dimly lit with morning light cave. She slyly proceded forward and peered around a boulder into the cave. The knew one laid in the cave asleep...Or so she thought. She stepped into the cave a little farther and just stared until he would wake up. She looked over her shoulder for Aeris...

Aeris was right with her. "..." She stayed quiet. (.. i am grounded and might not be on..sry!)

Kioash heard soft footsteps, and groggily opened one eye. Right in front of him was Spiderstar. He slowly got up, hoping she hadn't heard him snoring. He shook himself awake, quite forgetting the stalactite above his head. "Yeowch!!" Whose stupid idea was it to put that thing there? He was sure it hadn't been there in the evening, maybe he moved a lot in his sleep. He turned to face Spiderstar.

Spiderstar blinked in greeting. "Good morning." Her voice was light and kind but energy pulsed through her. "I've been thinking about what happened yesterday and thaught you might want to help hunt for the pack." She had reviewed this ittle in her mind of the situation she was putting him in but let it matter not. "You don't have to decide now." She turned and let out a gentle growl of laughter. "Watch your head." She sprang lightly onto a large boulder leaving Aeris standing below. She sat and gazed over the bit of mountain she was on. She found herself doing this a lot making it easy to spot new things to investigate out of her boredome. She lifted the tip of her tail curling it gently in and out.

Kioash smiled for the first time in a long time. He was worthy of hunting. He lifted his head up high, and, in the most dignified manner possible with a purple bruise the size of a small continent on his head, said "Yes."

Spiderstar smiled over her shoulder and nodded. "Well then, meet me here at dusk and we'll go for a hunt." She yawned and turned looking ot over the terra. She felt tired all of the sudden and squinted out the light. The sun rose a bit higher now and Spiderstar leaped onto a higher, wider boulder and padded in a circle before laying down with her head rested on her paws.

Aeris sat there for a min looking out onto the area. It was peaceful. She was remebering her mom as she stared out. It was the 4th day since she passed away. Shadow went into the den to tell Aeris and could find her. "...Aeris...." He was begining to panic.

Spiderstar dozed on the rock starring off as if she didn't exist there. Almost as if she were stone unable to move at all...or want to. Her glare was solid and no distractions broke her gaze over the terra...

((I love the new colors! Sorry I have been extremely inactive and I REALLY couldn't get on. I might be going to Florida in a couple weeks but I don't know yet...I get to take my puppies!!! I so happy.))

Kioash's mind was racing. Aeris was gone. Gone. Gone. He shook his head. Can't be far. He's only a pup...but what if he's in danger?No. Spiderstar showed no signs of moving, and Shadow would slow him down. Kioash leapt deftly out of the cave, looked back and forth for signs of movement.
He put his paw on a higher rock, scanning the terra. No sign. He leant forwards, aiming to leap off. The rock was loose. He slipped. "Woah!" he called out, falling, falling, falling...

When Spiderstar comes back to reality, or Shadow follows Kioash out of the cave, they will not see Kioash. They will see a distant corpse, for Kioash is dead.
